Extra-Curricular Activity

At ISCT, we embrace and recognise the importance of extracurricular activity (ECA).

SPORTS

We see sports, in particular, as an integral part of your child’s development. We offer a combination of sporting activities. Some codes are offered as part of our programme, where either teachers and/or outside coaches take responsibility for the coaching. There are also private activities which we organise on behalf of parents, but where parents are financially responsible to the coaches concerned.

ISCT is used as the main base for most of the codes of sport offered. Outside venues used to accommodate other codes include the Wynberg Military Base Stadium and the Villager Squash Club.

SCHOOL POLICY

It is our policy that students from Nursery and upward, sign up for at least one after-school activity. In the Primary School, this will commit them to one, sometimes two afternoons per week. In the High School, students commit themselves to two afternoons per week. As matches are arranged for most of our codes, the second session is generally a match day.
