Admissions Process at the International School of Cape Town (ISCT)
Parents interested in enrolling their children at ISCT are invited to schedule a tour with the Admissions Manager.
Following an initial enquiry, prospective families will be provided with comprehensive admissions information. This typically includes a school brochure and fee structure. Applicants will also receive clear guidance on the admission requirements and next steps.
Placement assessments will be scheduled once the completed application form and non-refundable registration fee have been received.
Upon completion of the admissions process, families will receive either a formal letter of acceptance or a notification of regret. For successful applicants, once the acceptance letter has been issued and all required contractual documents and proof of payment of the placement fee have been submitted, the student will be officially added to the school roll.
Important Information Regarding Study Visas
Under South African law, individuals who enter the country on a visitor’s visa are not permitted to apply for any other visa or permit from within the country, except under exceptional circumstances. These exceptions, as defined by the Immigration Act, apply to individuals who are the spouse or child of a holder of a valid business or work visa and who wish to study or work in South Africa.
If the parents do not hold business or work visas, their children must return to their country of origin to apply for the appropriate study visa.
